Agape Banquet

Every year, our church youth group and their leaders host an agape banquet. (For those of you who don’t know, agape means the love Christians have for one another.)

The kids draw names of who they are to invite and sit with for a meal and a time of fellowship and fun. Tonight, I was one of the blessed guests. We had a wonderful potato bar and brownies and ice cream for dessert.

We also had games and singing. It was a great night out. (My host was a nice 7th grader whom I admire very much.)

I want to leave you with one of my favorite songs. I love to sing it; but, sometimes, I like to keep quiet and just listen:

Mom was invited also. She had 2 first grade girls as her hosts. Sounds like she had fun too. You get to visit with people you don’t normally. It is great fun.
