A “MUST SEE” Part 1

If you love God and children, this is a must see for anyone that is pro-life.

If you are pro-choice and believe in a woman’s right to abortion, you especially need to see this video of an abortion survivor!

Uncharacteristically

Don’t you just love that word? Uncharacteristically. Dare you to say it 5x fast. In fact, dare you to simply say it fast. It is a mouthful. But, it aptly describes me today and the rest of our week.

Today, I picked my son up at school so I could take him to visit some of his former teachers. Then, we went to Wal-Mart and picked up a couple of dozen tent stakes. (Are those of you that know me wondering what in the world?)

A friend at church suggested I have my son use them to catch the fence and anchor it to the ground, so that my escape artist dog cannot push through the fence. If I can go back to just opening the door and letting him out, without having to leash him first, it would make it so much easier. I so hope it works!

I have been cleaning and doing laundry, because my girl is coming home for the week between spring and summer semesters. Unlike other college kids, she is continuing. Did I ever tell you that she was an overachiever?

Unfortunately, our week is going to be a full one. Tomorrow is really the only day we are not going to be busy in the evening. We have Bible Study on Wednesday night, decorating for the senior banquet on Thursday, Senior banquet on Friday. After the banquet, from 8:30 til whenever, all of the teens are invited to a party of a fake Olympic games. Since it is until whenever, I sincerely hope I can beg a ride for my boy. I hope to have my feet up by 9pm!

Of course, my boy is really looking forward to a wonderful week. I must be getting really old. I am thinking about how tired I am going to be.

So . . .

After a day of running around and doing chores, I am in bed uncharacteristically early. By 7:30, I had already taken a Tylenol 3 to help with the discomfort in my legs. I hope to sleep good tonight, so I will be ready for the list of chores I have given myself for tomorrow.

A Good Day

The weather was so strange yesterday; I wasn’t even sure if we could go to the church in the morning. Fortunately, the streets didn’t freeze.

In fact, after a couple hours of uninterrupted rest, we even got to go to church tonight. But, the best part was the teen devo in the fellowship hall. The kids sang, had pizza, and then went to the park across the street to have some outdoor fun in the dark.

Our church has 20+ kids in the teen youth group. So, add a few young adults and parents, and we had quite a group. Everyone had such a good time, it didn’t break up until about 9:30 or so.

Our summer intern youth minister also talked with the kids about what they wanted to do this summer to have fun and also some Christian service projects they would like to get involved in doing.

It definitely was a good day.

Church Tomorrow??

Wyoming has been having the weirdest weather lately. A couple of days ago, it was in the 70s or 80s. Today, it rained and snowed all day. In fact it started last night. It is supposed to get below freezing tonight. So, there is likely to be black ice and snow tomorrow morning. But, according to the weather report, it is supposed to be in the mid-50s by tomorrow afternoon.

So, I have two questions:

Will all of the beautiful flowers survive the weekend?

and,

Will I be going to church tomorrow morning?

Nothing like spring in Wyoming!
